BJP, NPP STAGE WALK

Jammu: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Panthers Party and Jammu State Morcha (JSM) legislators on Thursday staged a walk out from the Lower House to protest the “incomplete and misleading” reply of the Finance Minister on “discrimination” against Jammu and Ladakh regions.
The Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather, in response to a question by the Leader of BJP Legislature Party Chaman Lal Gupta said the Finance Commission had submitted a report to the chief minister on November 13 last year.
The BJP leader said while only 30 percent of funds are being allocated under District Plans where the MLAs are being involved, the remaining 70 percent funds are being spent at the discretions of the chief minister and the ministers.
