Documentaries produced by KU students previewed

Srinagar, Mar 3:  A blend of attractive visuals, narration and extraordinary camerawork remained the feature of most of the documentaries previewed at the end of two week workshop at Educational Multimedia and Research Centre (EMMRC) Kashmir University on Thursday.
 The documentaries produced by the media students on topics   ranging from the heritage to daily life of different spectrum drew applause from the faculty members.
 Four  documentaries namely Heritage Lost,  Life on Wheels, Dreams of Delight and Despair and Stairs of Faith produced by the KU students under the guidance of Tariq Abdullah, Akmal  Hanan, Shafqat Habib and Farooq  Ahmed Lone  were previewed on the occasion.
 These documentaries respectively talk about dwindling silk industry, rotunie of bus conductor, life in Dal Lake and the shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Hamzha Makhdoomi (RA).
 Director EMMRC and Head of department of media education research centre Shahid Rasool said: “These documentaries show that students have the requisite talent.”
 “All these documentaries are worth to be shown at any national and international film festivals. The students deserve kudos for the marvellous and brilliant work done by them in short time,” he said.
