Farewell accorded to Shafat Makhdoomi

Jammu: The Information Department organized a farewell party for renowned Calligraphist, Shafat Makhdoomi who attained superannuation.
 The speakers highlighted the services rendered by Shafat in different capacities with honesty, sincerity and dedication.
 Shafat retired as Assistant Artist and achieved excellence by the dint of hard work and obedient attitude. He also served as Editor of various Magazines of the department
 The officers reminded the days when Shafat served Chief Minister’s Secretariat, which included the office of Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah and offices of other CMs of the State. It is pertinent to mention here that Sheikh Abdullah would always praise his (Shafat’s) art of calligraphy and capabilities to do justice with his profession.
