Lone made these remarks after the MLA Kulgam, M Y Tarigami urged the House to make a fervent appeal to the deputy speaker who had tendered his resignation.
Madni had resigned from his post on Thursday after the interview of the speaker appeared in a section of press. The speaker had advised Madni to resign from deputy speaker’s post for joining his party men in the well of the House.
The state government's representatives-- Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and Chief Minister’s advisors Mubarak Gul and Devender Singh Rana had also approached Madni on Thursday and had urged him to withdraw his resignation.
