PaK PM sacks cabinet colleague
Muzaffarabad, Mar 8: Pakistan administered Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan on Tuesday sacked a member of his cabinet who had started publicly criticizing him.
Col (retired) Raja Muhammad Nasim, minister for works and communications was removed by the PM in exercise of his powers under section 14 (3) of the interim constitution act, 1974, read a notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department.
Nasim, it may be recalled, was among two ministers who had voted for a PML-N candidate in the last month’s PaK Council election whereas three other cabinet ministers had voted for the PP-PaK candidates.
Of late, Nasim, who has remained minister with the same portfolio over the last five years regardless of change of four governments, had started criticizing the PM.
On Monday, he had told this correspondent that he had resigned from the cabinet but his resignation was not accepted by the premier.
