Expedite land acquisition for road widening in Ramban: Nasir
Ramban: The Minister of State for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani today directed the officials to expedite land acquisition cases for the road widening project in Ramban
Chairing a review meeting of the District Ramban here today, Nasir who is also Minister of State for Revenue asked the Deputy Commissioner Ramban Shabir Ahmad to expedite land acquisition cases and fix targets for timely completion of all developmental works including the Centrally sponsored schemes
On the occasion, the Minister expressed concern over frequent road accidents and asked the Traffic Department to ensure proper monitoring to avoid jams on the Highway.
“We need to increase manpower on the Highway to monitor heavy load of traffic. Accidents take place since people are weary of jamming and want to reach home early. The vehicles plying without valid documents should be seized,” the Minister directed.
He also directed the district administration to fast-track all developmental schemes under PMRP, PMGSY, UIDSSMT, NREGS, and SSA so that the benefits envisaged by them are extended to the people residing in backward and hitherto uncovered areas of the district.
