Gupta visits City colleges

Srinagar , May 9: The Director Colleges, Prof Sham Lal Gupta and OSD Higher Education Department, Prof Mukhbil Chishti on Monday visited City colleges including SP College.
 At SP College the duo took stock of various departments, laboratories, class works and ongoing construction works in progress under the Special Plan Assistance Scheme (SPAS).
 The officers were briefed by the college principal Prof Zahoor Ahmad Chatt about the pace of the ongoing construction works and the academics in the institution.
 While interacting with the students Gupta said: “I am glad to know that the students are satisfied with the staff and college facilities.”
 The visiting team also reviewed ongoing construction works and interacted with the engineers on the site.
 They directed the concerned to speed up the pace of all ongoing works including construction of Zoology Block, Green House, paths, and flooring tiles.
 Later, the officers inspected at Government Women College M A Road.
 The officers visited various departments of the which include Chemistry, Zoology, Psychology which was followed by “attendance check of the staff”.
