Rs 86 cr credit to 6000 units extended

Kulgam, May 9: An amount of Rs 86.44 crore have been made for setting up 5969 income generating units under district credit plan for year 2010-11 in district Kulgam.
This, according to an official statement, was revealed at (DLRC) district level review cum consultative committee meeting under the chairmanship of the credit plan with District Development Commissioner, Kulgam Farooq Ahmad Khan.
The district lead Bank Officer, Muhammad Shafi Ayaz while giving the details of the achievements said that Rs 3552.92 lakh have been advanced to 2903 beneficiaries for setting up of their income generating units under Agriculture and allied sectors, where as Rs. 2455.70 lakh have been provided for establishment of 1611 non facing and Small Scale units and a loan Rs 6188.74 lakh was provided for 1455 units under Micro finance and other priority sectors.
The DDC appreciated for the achievements registered under credit plan. He said that government jobs cannot be provided to everyone and assure the educated youth to come forward to take the advantage of the schemes provided by various departments.
