Complete Narbal bridge immediately: CM
Srinagar: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today asked the officials to complete the Narbal bridge at an earliest. While inspecting 24.5 kilometer Narbal-Tangmarg road being upgraded to 4-lanes under the Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Programme at a cost of over Rs 116 crore, Omar underlined the importance of road project and said it would not only smoothen the ply of traffic from Srinagar to Tangmarg, but facilitate the tourist flow to Gulmarg. The Chief Minister also received brief about the 45 metre long Magam bridge and 85 metre long Kunzer bridge on Narbal-Tangmarg road. Chief Engineer, R&B, Kashmir, Nazir Ahmad gave details of the project and said 94 percent of it had been completed so far and the rest was under completion. Enroute Tangmarg, Omar met people at various places. They apprised the Chief Minister of various demands pertaining to the development of their areas.
