Governor, First Lady visit DPS

Srinagar, May 10: Describing the present generation youth as the “leaders of tomorrow”, the Governor, NN Vohra, on Tuesday said that the “future of the state is bright in the hands of the highly talented youth of Jammu and Kashmir.”
The Governor was addressing the students of the Delhi Public School, Srinagar, during his visit to the institution. He observed that given their high potential the youth of J&K could become “leaders in whatever careers they choose to pursue and bring laurels to the state by dint of their hard work”.
“Noting the excellent achievements registered by this school in academic and extra-curricular activities, the governor told the students that they are fortunate to receive education in such an institution,” an official handout said.
The First Lady, Usha Vohra, was present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, she stressed on the students the high value of their acquiring effective power of expression and communication skills. She observed that a good command over English language, along with other languages, is important for achieving the envisaged objectives in a highly competitive environment.
