Govt approves ex-gratia for surrendered militants
Srinagar, May 12: The state cabinet, which met here Thursday under the chairmanship of chief minister Omar Abdullah approved extension of ex-gratia relief to the surrendered militants in case of their death in militancy related incidents.
In another decision, the cabinet approved promotion of three officers of Finance department in the special scale (Rs 37400-67000) plus grade pay of Rs 8700 with effect from March 28, 2011. The officers are Shugufta Qazi, Tehsin Mufti and S C Bandar.
It also sanctioned selection grade (Rs 15600-39100) plus grade pay of Rs 7600 to eight officers of accounts service with effect from March 28, 2011. These officers are Pritam Singh, Ifthikar Hussain, Tahir Hussain, Latief Ahmad Poswal, Manzoor Ahmad Wani, Muhammad Ayoub Nasir, Seema Bashir and Muhammad Sidiq.
