Drive launched to curb unfair trade of vet products

Jammu, May 13: A team of officers of Drug and Food Control Organization under the supervision of Deputy Controller, Drug and Food Control Organization, Jammu, Lotika Khajuria conducted a special drive in Jammu district to curb unscrupulous trade of veterinary products.
During the drive, the firms dealing with veterinary drugs were found violating the conditions of licenses. Thus the licenses of these firms including M/S Royal Medical Agency, Airport Road Satwari, M/S New Medicine Chamber, Pharmaceutical Distributors, CDA Road, Satwari, Jammu and M/S S. R Medical Agencies Patoli Brahmana Akhnoor Road, Jammu were suspended for violating the provision of Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and rules there under.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Controller emphasized the traders to strictly adhere to the conditions of licenses, failing which an action as contemplated under relevant provisions of the Act shall be initiated against the defaulters.
