Blood donation camp held in Baramulla

Baramulla, May 14: Idara Fallah-u-Dareen, a social organization donated 20 units of blood in the district hospital here on Saturday. The volunteers of the organization maintained that the objective of the blood donation was to create awareness about it in the society.  “We wanted to make people aware that blood donation can save lives of many patients. “ I feel satisfied when I donate my blood. If my blood saves anybody’s life, it is a big reward for me” said Mujahid-ul-Islam, a volunteer.   The secretary general Idara Fallah-u-Darin said that around 150 volunteers of the organization were ready to donate the blood. “But due to the less storage capacity in the hospital only 20 volunteers could donate the blood,” he said.  Meanwhile the Hospital authorities acknowledged efforts of the organization.  “Blood donation is one of the important charities that can save life. The efforts of the Fallah-u-Darin indicate that our youth are aware about their duties towards the society” said Dr Riyaz Ahmed.
