KGC employees to observe strike
Srinagar, May 14: The employees of Kashmir Golf Club (KGC) are observing a daylong token pen-down/tool-down strike on May 16 as a protest against the management’s ‘apathy’ to resolve their problems.
In a statement on Saturday, a spokesman of the Kashmir golf Club Employees’ Union said, “The Union leaders had set a deadline of three month for the management to fulfil employees’ genuine demands but till that nothing came out. The Club employees are getting a meagre monthly salary from Rs 2000 to Rs 5000. In these hard times, it is very difficult for us to make our both ends meet with this meagre salary.”
