PDP concerned over crop damage

Srinagar, May 14: Peoples Democratic Party today expressed deep concern over the damage to the fruit crop caused by the hailstorm in various areas of Budgam district.
MLA Beerwa Dr Muhammad Shafi and Youth General Secretary along with the concerned officers visited Khag, Kanidajan, Nagbal, Shankerpora Chraripora, Pakherpora and Yousmarg and met the affected farmers. Expressing sympathies with the victims the two leaders urged the government to take necessary steps for assessment of the loss and provide adequate compensation to the effected farmers and fruit growers.
