JAH appeals UIC to expedite probe

MOULANA SHOWKAT’S KILLING

Srinagar: Jamiat-e-Ahlihadees J&K, Halqa Lal Bazar here, on Wednesday appealed to the United Investigation Committee to expedite its probe into the martyrdom of Shaheed Itihad-i-Milat Moulana Showkat Ahmad Shah to bring the killers to justice.
 In a statement, Halqa spokesman said, “Some elements are issuing statements to prepare the ground to shield the perpetrators of murder. The United Investigation Committee should take note of these statements and take appropriate steps to prevent any possibility for the killers to get away unpunished.”
 He also urged the Government to expedite the process of investigation and identify the killers.
