Special fund for interest subvention set up
Srinagar, May 18: Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry has set up a special fund for interest subvention on inventory support.
The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry today said it has received a communication from the union ministry informing it that it has set up a special fund for interest subvention on the inventory support. The chamber said allocation of special fund of Rs 30 crore interest subvention for inventory support to the handicraft sector has been set up by the ministry. It said 2 per cent interest subvention has been provided till 31st March 2011 and also for all SMEs etc. “Interest subvention for domestic production not related to exports is beyond the scope of Department of Commerce,” it said.
