ERA adds more to Sonawar bridge mockery
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, May 1: Reacting to Greater Kashmir news report that Economic Reconstruction Agency has eaten away a vital footpath over a bridge at Sonawar by laying pipeline there, the ERA has added more to the mockery saying the pipes have been temporarily fitted.
“In response to news report titled ERA does a Jaspal Bhatti, this office would like to clarify that pipes have been placed temporarily on the footpath,” the ERA spokesman said.
“The final alignment earmarked for the purpose has to be made as per approved proposal without encroachment of footpath,” he added.
The ERA wants to convey that the huge pipes which have been well fitted on the bridge would again be disassembled only to be refitted elsewhere.
This reminds one of the popular funny advertisement of late ‘90s. The ad video goes somewhat like this. A silly man asks a group replacing their car tyre that if puncture was the reason of tyre replacement.
And the witty group laughs back saying: Nahin Jabh Bore Ho Jaatay Hein Tao Aagay Ka tyre peechay aur peechay ka tyre aagay Karrtay hein.
Likewise, the ERA looks to have done the work to undo it only to redo what was done and then undone!
