Of bad roads and speed breakers
DID you ever imagine what peculiar problems, a common man faces in Srinagar due to negative attitude of the concerned authorities? Well, sample this because I have more than a reason to plead my stand.
Roads: Every City road is in shambles with lot of potholes and open manholes risking the life of common man. VIP’s do move in cars and reside in posh colonies thus they do not come across the same. Starting from Airport Road , Bypass, Natipora, Kannipora, Chattargam, Batamallo, Safakadal, Nallah Mar road, Soura, Lalbazar, almost all roads are in a bad condition.
Although the funds were available, nobody spend them last year till they got diverted to Jammu. How long will our vehicles suffer?
Second comes the issue of speed-breakers. We have so many speed-breakers but no caution signs anywhere.
Timing of Army convoys is another problem. Their timing at places like the Athwajan Parimpora highway clash with the peak hour rush of civilians.
If these small things are taken care of there will be a lot of improvement in the traffic regulation.
