Army douses fire

Srinagar, May 19: Army on Thursday said doused fire in a school in Bandipora district. 
In a statement an Army spokesman said fire broke out in Government Middle School Aragam Bandipora at 10 am today.
“The incident happened when a gas cylinder exploded while the mid day meal for the students was being prepared.  Troops of 14 Rashtriya Rifles immediately rushed to the site and brought the fire under control with the help of Fire Tenders.  No loss of life took place due to swift action by the Army,” the statement said adding humanitarian aid will be provide to the school.
