Handloom cluster Zoonimar flagged off

Srinagar, May 19: Director, Handloom Development Department, (DHDD), Chandra Gupta, inaugurated a Handloom Cluster at Zoonimar with its headquarters at Soura here. 

 The handloom weavers/artisans from Zoonimar, Anchar, Gilikadal, Soura and Nowshera, participated in the function.

 Gupta on the occasion said the Development Commissioner Handlooms, Union Ministry of Textiles, has sanctioned one more Handloom Cluster under Integrated Handloom Development Scheme (IHDS) at Zoonimar, Srinagar, bringing the total number of clusters in the Valley to seven and 10 in J&K. 

 The objective of the scheme is to empower weaver and help them increase production.
