Bears on prowl in Kangan
Kangan, May 21: A bear attacked and injured a man at Gujarpati Preng, five kms from here on Saturday.
Reports said Haji Habib-ullah Kasana was attacked and injured by bear in his maize fields at Preng here. However, his cries attracted the attention of some villagers who managed to rescue him. He was rushed to district hospital here and his condition is stated to be out of danger.
This is the sixth incident in Ganderbal district here in a month in which bears have injured many persons and devoured domestic animals.
