Guv undertakes aerial survey of Yatra routes

Srinagar: The Governor, NN Vohra, who is the Chairman of the Amarnath Shrine Board, today undertook an aerial reconnaissance of the Pahalgam-Baltal circuit to assess the condition of the Yatra routes. 

 The Governor also had an extensive inspection of the Baltal Base Camp and reviewed the ongoing works, including accommodation and basic facilities for the Yatris.

 The Governor, accompanied his Principal Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the SASB R K. Goyal, flew over Pahalgam, Chandanwari, Sheshnag, Mahagunas Top, Panjtarni, Holy Cave and reached Baltal after taking stock of the present status of the snow melt. On the occasion, the Governor directed the CEO to ensure the deployment of adequate workforce for clearing the large accumulation of snow and repairing the Baltal and Chandanwari tracks and making them operational timely.
