Newspaper hawker looted
Srinagar, May 21: In the wee hours, a newspaper hawker was looted by a ‘policeman’ at Magarmal Bagh.
The victim, Muhammad Amin Bhat of Natipora Saturday accused that a man in police uniform ordered him to stop on-the-spot and took away Rs 15000 from him.
“On coming down from my bi-cycle the policeman asked me to raise hands. While frisking, he (policeman) whisked away my cash from pocket and fled the spot. The man was carrying AK-47,” said Bhat.
The matter has been brought into the notice of police which has started investigations into the matter.
