PDD employee electrocuted

Srinagar, May 22: An employee of Power Development Department was electrocuted at Chogal Pora, Kulgam.
 According to police, the deceased has been identified as Reyaz Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Nabi of Chogal Pora.
 Police said, Reyaz was working as a casual labourer in the Department.

1 KILLED, 4 INJURED IN MISHAPS
One person was killed and four others wounded in different road mishaps across the Valley.
 Police said, Abdul Qayoom Rather son of Habibullah of Buchoo Awantipora who was wounded in a road mishap at Khinibough Lethpora on May 15 succumbed at SKIMS, Soura on Sunday.
 A truck (JK01M-7736) hit and injured a pedestrian Khalil Ahmad Sofi son of Abdul Aziz of Lethpora at Lethpora, Awantipora, police said.
 A two wheeler hit and injured a pedestrian, Muhammad Yaseen Koka son of Muhammad Ahsan of Manzgam Damhal at Lisser, Islamabad (Anantnag). 
 In another incident, a vehicle (JK03-3562) hit and injured two pedestrians, Shazia Akhter, 22, daughter of Ghulam Nabi Bhat and Suraya Akhter, 16, daughter of Ghulam Muhammad Bhat of Trehpoo at Tooru, Islamabad (Anantnag).

2 HURT IN CYLINDER BLAST
Two persons were injured in a cylinder blast at Bajpathri Thune in Kangan on Sunday.
 Fatima Bano wife of Sonaullah Khan and Zahoor Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Ahad Khan received critical burn injuries when a cooking gas cylinder exploded inside a house.
 The duo was rushed to SDH Kangan from where they were shifted to SKIMS, Soura (Sheikh Nazir from Kangan)

2 SHOPS DAMAGED
Two shops were damaged in a blaze incident at Tanghdar Bazaar, Karnah Kupwara on Saturday night.
 Police said the shops belonged to Dawood Khan son of Muhammad Hussain of Kandi and Tameem Ahmad of Uttar Pradesh. It said the cause was fire was short circuit.
