Good step
This refers to the news "PSC mulls video-recording of interviews for Govt jobs" (GK May 20). Introducing video-recording in the interviews is an innovative step and need of the hour. The Public Service Commission (PSC) would be doing a great job by introducing this novel step. It will surely bring about transparency in the otherwise obsolete selection process adopted by the Commission. Video-recording of the interviews will narrow down chances of unfair selections. We are confronted with the problem of unemployment in the state. So it becomes imperative to make fair selections so that our systems don’t suffer tomorrow. Earlier the government decision to introduce SET (State Eligibility Test) to bring transparency has also been appreciated. Let’s all say yes to such steps which are aimed at ensuring transparency.
