MEF concerned at patients’ plight in hospitals
Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees’ Federation, at a meeting held here today with its chairman, Shabir Ahmad Langoo in chair, expressed concern over, what it said, the “miserable plight” of patients and attendants in hospitals.
In a statement, Federation spokesman alleged rampant corruption and mal-administration in these hospitals. He appealed to the chief minister to monitor the functioning of these hospitals.
The Federation has demanded filling up of posts of medical superintendents and deputy superintendents in all hospitals, free meals to the patients and attendants coming from far flung areas. It also demanded that HoDs should be given their assignments and “attendant pass” should be done away with.
