JKLF condemns fresh PSA against Sehrai
Srinagar, May 24: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Tuesday strongly condemned the re-imposition of Public Safety Act (PSA) against Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, terming it as "one-sided state terrorism."
“Court recently had quashed earlier PSAs against Sehrai and Jameel, but the authorities have yet again booked them under the black law of PSA and shifted the duo to Srinagar Central Jail and Udhampur jail respectively,” a JKLF spokesman said in a statement.
He also flayed authorities for imposing PSA on Mushtaq Ahmad Nalaband, Javed Ahmad Khashu from Batamaloo, Gazanfar Ahmad Hajam and Bilal Ahmad Hajam of Nowgam Srinagar. “From a teenager to an aged person, no one is spared from the PSA which shows Jammu and Kashmir is a police state where justice, democracy and laws are not respected,” he added.
The spokesman expressed grief over the demise of 10th class student, Muhammad Shakir from Nowgam who drowned a few days ago in Jehlum.
