EDB puts Humhama branch on CBS

Srinagar, May 25: Humhama branch of Ellaquai Dehati Bank has become its first branch in the Valley to have been put on Core Banking Solution (CBS).
Chairman EDB A K Razdan flagged off the CBS Branch today at a simple but impressive function. Razdan said the Bank has already put 24 branches in Jammu division on CBS and has a target to put all its branches and business units on CBS by the June end this year. He said Humhama branch is the first branch of the EDB in the Valley which has been put on the CBS.
The chairman EDB said by putting all its branches on core banking solution people living in far flung areas will take benefit of the modern banking technology.
He said: “Our customers have been demanding easy and affordable remittance facilities and we are happy that we are coming up to their expectations.”
