‘`1100 cr advanced to 32,000 units’

Srinagar, May 26: An amount of Rs 1095.29 crore have been advanced as financial assistance to 32241 units under priority and non priority sectors during last year up to end of March 2011 under Annual Action Plan 2010-11. This was stated at a meeting of District Consultative Committee of banks operating in the district with District Development Commissioner   M A Kakroo in chair, who is also chairman of the committee, Additional District Development Commissioner,   Sarmad Hafeez and other officers were also present in the meeting. S K Watal of RBI was also attended. The lead Bank officer informed the meeting that out of total advanced amount Rs 148.96 Cr have been disbursed for setting up small enterprises, over Rs 320 Cr for housing and Rs 13.62 Cr under education sectors. As such Rs 45.76 Cr has been advanced to 1584 beneficiaries in the district Srinagar during the same period.
