DoP introduces int’l, domestic flat rate boxes

Jammu, May 27: Now parcels don’t require to be in cloth wrapping/wax sealing. For the convenience of general public, the Department of Post has introduced International as well as Domestic Flat Rate Boxes, World Net Express Boxes and Packaging Material.
“The new items are not only convenient but also have inbuilt security features to avoid any pilferage during transit,” said Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle, John Samuel while launching the facilities here today.
The rates for Domestic Flat Rate Boxes having the capacity of 1 Kg, 2.5 kg and 5 Kg would be Rs 125, Rs 200 and Rs 400 respectively, he said.
Similarly the rates for International Flat Rate Boxes having the capacity of 1 Kg, 2.5 Kg and 5 Kg would be Rs 1, 000, Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,500 respectively, he added.
