OIC representative to attend Global Discourse on Kashmir

Brussels, May 2: The Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs in the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Ambassador Abdullah Alim, who is also OIC’s special representative on Kashmir, is attending the 5th Global Discourse on Kashmir (GDK) at the European Parliament in Brussels on May 3 and 4, a joint spokesman of the All Party Group for Kashmir in the European Parliament and the Kashmir Centre EU said in a statement on Monday.
“Purpose of the Global Discourse is to foster a beneficial dialogue between Kashmir, India and Pakistan. The 2011 discourse aims to build on previous successes and to seek meaningful progress on all issues,” he added.
The spokesman said the Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq arrived in Brussels this morning.
