Order annulled

This refers to the news “Government annuls order” (GK April 29). Spring has arrived in the valley after torrential rains delayed its arrival. But this jubilation and hope came under dark clouds for a transitory period when the seeds of chaos and confusion were sown by the issuance of Dogra certificate to the people of Jammu province. The recent revocation of this controversial certificate by the state government after having a long consultation with the Home Ministry should be seen as a welcome step. Let’s together work for peace in Kashmir. We cannot afford anymore bloodshed and dark clouds. It is time to establish peace.
