Sheep herd movement sans scheduling
THE other day while heading towards Nishat, I was amazed to see the flock of sheep on main road at Ishber(between Nishat and Shalimar). Not only the locals but even the tourists got frustrated once they came across this kind of traffic chaos, which may be typical of this ignored City.
A sheep herd could be seen moving on the busy road disrupting the traffic. The movement of the livestock is important but the authorities need to streamline it.
At least the shepherds should be instructed to take their flocks either early in the morning or late in the evening because otherwise this adds to the traffic mess, which is already prevalent on the Srinagar roads.
