Protest peacefully
I completely agree with Syed Ali Geelani’s statement that we must protest peacefully and not resort to violent means of protest. However, I must say that violence is thrust upon us and we are forced to take to roads with stones in hand. Last year there have been killings after killings and there was no end to the bloodshed. People of Kashmir want to live peacefully and have always believed in harmony. However after 2008 the approach of cops in Kashmir has changed a lot vis-a-vis people. They go on rampage against civilians which is highly condemnable. Let us support Syed Ali Geelani and protest peacefully and democratically. We will be able to achieve a lot provided we are able to protest peacefully.
