Good event

This refers to the news “Mutahari’s anniversary observed”. I was delighted to read that Prof. Shaheed Murtaza Mutahari was remembered  in Kashmir first time on his 32nd  death anniversary. The Mutahari fikri-w-Saqafati Markaz deserves praise for organizing such an event in Kashmir, which included competitive examination of Mutaharis book, book exhibition besides lectures of religious scholars on his life. Introducing such personalities and luminaries to youth would be beneficial because his writings according to Ayatullah Khumenie can build the intellectual acumen of any state. Promoting books of Mutahari on his death anniversary is the best tribute to him.  In his books and speeches he has touched various topics and has viewed every topic through Islamic prism. People especially students must read his books so that they can understand political thought in Islamic perspective. Before studying Karl Marx, Friedrich Hegel, Jacques Rousseau and others one must go through the books of Murtaza Mutahari. This way the reader can himself understand the difference between western and Islamic thought.
