Injured soldier succumbs
Srinagar, May 6: An Army soldier, injured in a gunfight with militants last month, succumbed to his injuries here on Friday, police said.
“Sepoy Shayam Singh was one of the two army personnel injured in an encounter with militants at Indergam village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on April 30. Singh was undergoing treatment at 92 base hospital at Badamibagh headquarters here. He breathed his last this morning,” a police official said.
