Mirwaiz calls on EP Prez

Srinagar, May 6: Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq called on the President of European Parliament (EP) Libor Roucek at Brussels on Friday, a spokesman of the conglomerate said in a statement.
“Mirwaiz along with Nazir Ahmed Shawl and Barrister Abdul Majid Tramboo apprised Roucek about the human rights violations, mass graves, arrests and the ill treatment of prisoners in the Valley,” he said.
Mirwaiz, according to the spokesman, asked the EP president to implement the resolutions passed by European Parliament on Kashmir.
“The Parliamentarians and President assured Mirwaiz that they are keeping watch over the situation in Kashmir and will fulfill their responsibilities,” he added.
