Mirwaiz inaugurates kasmirwatch.com

Brussels, May 6: Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday inaugurated the Brussels based Kashmir news portal www.kashmirwatch.com.
While talking to the reporters here, Mirwaiz said the website would provide an opportunity to international journalists to know about the ground situation in Kashmir.
He said owner of the website, Abdul Lateef Bhat, now stationed in Brussels would work for the Kashmir cause. “He will keep you updated about what is happening in Kashmir,” Mirwaiz said.
He also drew the attention of the reporters towards Kashmir conflict. “As far as Kashmir is concerned we feel dismayed by the lack of international attention on the issue,” he said. “Kashmir needs more attention at international level as it is the world’s highest militarized zone where more than 600 thousand force personnel are deployed which is five times more than the troops deployed in Afghanistan and Palestine.”
Chairman of Brussels Press Club Europe Thomas A Friedrich, who chaired the inauguration of Kashmir Watch, thanked Mirwaiz Umar for briefing foreign media about Kashmir issue.
