Education expo-2011 begins at SKICC
Srinagar, May 7: A two-day fair ‘Education Expo 2011’ was flagged off at SKICC here today in which students from various schools and colleges received free counselling.
Organized by SS Exhibitions and Media Private Limited under its brand ‘Educatus Expo’ the fair provides an opportunity to the students to get information about various courses offered by different universities and institutions in North India.
“This expo facilitates face-to-face interaction between students and academics where the latter respond to the queries raised by the students,” said Manish Dhanda, Director of the ‘Educatus’.
“We create a platform to make students aware about different courses and reputed institutions across India,” he added.
Many colleges from north India have set up their stalls in the fair giving information to the students about courses and prospects of job placements.
Some of the courses being offered by the institutions include Aeronautics, Textile, Fashion Designing, Architecture Engineering etc.
“Amid a lot of competition and uncertainties, such initiatives can prove very helpful to the students where they can get important inputs about courses, placements, etc,” said Fahad Dar, a student.
As many as 45 institutions including two deemed universities, 35 engineering colleges and eight business schools are participating in the fair.
The institutions taking part in the fair are Manav Rachna International University, Lovely Professional University, Punjab, Galaxy Global Group of Institutions, Swami Devi Dayal Group, Sri Sai University, Panipat Institution of Engineering and Technology, New Delhi and Ram Devi Dyal Group of Colleges.
The fair shall conclude on May 8.
