Demise of Geelani’s brother condoled
Srinagar, Nov 10: Different political and religious organizations have condoled the demise of Syed Wali Muhammad of Sopore, brother of Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
The Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu Kashmir Ameer, Sheikh Muhammad Hassan has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise, expressing solidarity with Geelani and other bereaved family members.
Sheikh Muhammad Hassan has prayed for the eternal peace to departed soul and courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
The Hurriyat Conference (M) senior leader, advocate Shahid-ul-Islam on Thursday visited the residence of the deceased, expressing solidarity with the bereaved family especially Syed Ali Shah Geelani and praying for the peace to departed soul.
A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front leaders led by advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhat visited the residence of deceased at Iqbal Nagar, Sopore, in district Baramulla of north Kashmir. The members on the occasion prayed for the deceased and sympathized with the bereaved family.
The Jammu and Kashmir People’s Political Party (PPP) chairman, Hilal Ahmad War, while expressing heartfelt condolences to Syed Ali Shah Geelani prayed for the peace to the departed soul and strength and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
Er War described the deceased as pious, virtuous and righteous Muslim. He said, “Peer Sahib has left a legacy of high moral character and he would be remembered by many beyond the borders of Kashmir as well.”
The Jammu Kashmir Peoples’ League chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has paid glowing tributes to the deceased and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family especially his (Late Syed Wali Muhammad’s) son Ashfaq Ahmad Shah and brother Syed Ali Shah Geelani. He described the deceased as a God-fearing and pious Muslim. He prayed for peace to the departed soul.
