2 killed in road accidents
BUS TURNS TURTLE AT HANDWARA,22 HURT
Srinagar, Nov 11: Two persons were killed and 26 others wounded in separate road accidents in Kashmir.
According to police spokesman, two persons were critically wounded when a Sumo bearing registration number (JK03B-8570) collided with an auto bearing registration number (JK03B-5744) at Chursoo, Awantipora. The wounded Mushtaq Ahmad Ganaie son of Muhammad Yousuf of Noorpora and Bashir Ahmad Dar son of Muhammad Rajab of Bargam, Awantipora were shifted to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura, where Mushtaq Ahmad Ganaie succumbed to his injuries, he said adding police had registered a case in this regard.
In another incident, a Platform vehicle bearing registration number (JK02C-8531) hit and critically injured a pedestrian, Shams-u-Din Dar son of Fakir Muhammad, of Kudi at Lashmawar, Handwara, the spokesman said adding the wounded Shams-u-Din Dar succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS, Soura. Police has registered a case in this regard.
At least 22 people were injured when a bus bearing registration number (JK09-5132) they were travelling in turned turtle at Behnipora, Zachaldara Handwara, the spokesman said adding all the wounded had been hospitalized and a case registered in this regard.
A car bearing registration number (JK03A-3321) hit a motorcycle bearing registration number (JK03C-2248) on KP Road near Fohar crossing at Ashmuqam Islamabad (Anantnag), causing injuries to the rider, Nissar Ahmad Wani and his pillion mate, Javaid Ahmad Wani of Malpora, Sakhrass, he said adding the duo had been hospitalized and a case registered in this regard.
A car bearing registration number (JK02M-4327) hit and injured a person, Muhammad Abdullah Dar son of Ghulam Nabi Dar of Abi Buchwara, Dalgate near Tanga Adda, Dalgate here, he said adding the wounded had been shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital Barzulla for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
LABOURER DIES IN URI
A labourer was killed while loading forest timber on a Platform vehicle bearing registration number (JKE-4485) near Foot Bridge Mahore in Uri Baramulla.
According to police spokesman, the deceased has been identified as Muhammad Amin Khan son of Gulab Khan, of Bela Boniyar.
HOUSE DAMAGED IN BLAZE
Fire broke out in the residential house of Bilal Ahmad Sofi son of Ghulam Qadir of Chandpora, Aga Hamam Kral Khud here causing partial damage to the structure, the spokesman said adding no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.
