Free diabetic camp held

Srinagar, Nov 14: The Overseas Healthcare, in collaboration with Pulse Diagnostic Centre, Shah Complex, Karan Nagar and Health Awareness Association, Kashmir, on Monday organized a free diabetic camp under the supervision of Dr Nazir Mushtaq to mark the World Diabetic Day.
In addition to free medicines, the awareness and counselling material was also distributed to the patients at the camp.
“Almost 98% of patients had no awareness about the diabetes and its complications. Lots of patients had phobia about diet in diabetes and its medications particularly insulin,” said a spokesman of the Association in a statement.
