ED Bank opens 2 business units

Srinagar, Nov 16: Ellaquai Dehati Bank opened two business units, one each at Larm Gamgi Pora, Islamabad (Ananatnag) and Banihal. Inaugurating the units, chairman A K Razdan spoke about the role and functions of the bank and highlighted its performance in agriculture and SME sector financing.
Razdan said the branches are “one stop shop” offering all kinds of financial services under various deposit and loan schemes to its customers. He said the EDB is committed to take financial services to the doorsteps of the people in remote areas.
At Banihal, he said: “We are delighted to have started our operations in Ramban also and within days more number of branches will be opened in the district.” He said with the expansion in branch network, the banks reach to the unbanked areas has got more widened.
