Flawed policy

Refer to the state government’s new job policy. The policy is controversial and biased at the outset. It is controversial because it takes into account only the non-gazetted sphere of employees, thus tending to widen the gap between the poor and the elite. It is biased for it does not take into account the daily needs of these people which of course are much higher than that of the gazetted employees and legislators. It is divisive because it threatens the right to equality which defines any democratic institution and attempts to divide the general public on the basis of needs and livelihood. We all know that the government will try to hush up the issue by circulating ‘promises’ and ‘hope’ that the gazetted sphere will soon be covered under the purview of this policy. But I guess everyone knows that this promise and hope (if made) will never be fulfilled. I wish the policy is revoked soon.
