Farmers sent on agri tour
Srinagar, Nov 17: Director Agriculture Kashmir, Dr Farooq A Lone today flagged off a group of 40 farmers from various districts to an agriculture tour at Tourist Reception Centre, Srinagar. The tour has been organized under Technology Mission Programme.
The farmers shall visit Agriculture Departmental Farms, Research Stations, SKUAST Jammu, Model Floriculture Centre Jammu and Stone Fruit Farm Rajouri & Olive Farm Ramban.
Speaking on the occasion the director said the objective of such visits is to make farmers aware about the latest research, development in various fields in agriculture, so that farmers after their return to their home shall apply the same in their fields and teach other farmers.
He said that Agriculture department will organize more such educational tours so that farmers could update their knowledge.
