New Bonvivent School holds seminar

Srinagar, Nov 17: New Bonvivent English School, Malpora, Eidgah, on Thursday held a daylong seminar on ‘Social Problems and Challenges to Student Community’.
 Apart from the school staff and students, parents too addressed the gathering. Muhammad Ayub Bhat, parent in his speech said that students should uphold the social and moral values, in addition to excelling in education.
 He said there were serious challenges which the society as a whole was face-to-face. “The drug abuse, moral degradation and social waywardness are few serious challenges that the teachers and parents have to fight against together,” Ayub said.
 He said the teachers have an important role and there responsibility does not end as the students leave the school everyday. “Teachers should show concern for the students even outside the school and see to it that they uphold the moral values.”
 He thanked principal of the school Nazir Ahmad for what he said maintaining the standard of education and teaching in his school.
 The school principal in his address appealed the students to “work hard and act responsibly.”
