AFSPA revocation

This refers to the debate on revocation of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act from certain parts of Jammu and Kashmir. It started when Chief Minister Omar Abdullah spoke at Police Martyrs Day function at Zewan. He stated that the act will be revoked within a few days from some areas of J&K. But as on date, he is yet to keep his promise. People are now fed up by such statements which don’t mean anything in the end. Moreover army is not willing to revoke AFSPA . They are free to do whatever they like. What is the fun of making statements which can’t be implemented on ground?
