Dr Naresh Trehan clarifies

Srinagar, Nov 19:  Noted cardiologist Dr Naresh Trehan on Saturday clarified that he never commented on the drug scenario in Kashmir.
 “The fact is that I was speaking at a function at Delhi Public School Athawajan on Nov 12, when a retired professor got up and started shouting that the Valley is full of spurious drugs which are causing a great danger to the patients. I responded that I am not a resident of the Valley therefore I have no knowledge about it. It is up to the people to take up the issue with concerned authorities. At no point of time did I suggest that I had any knowledge of spurious drugs in the Valley,” he said.
 “I was misquoted by a section of press and statements attributed to me are untrue,” Dr Trehan added.
