KULDEEP HANDOO

Srinagar, Nov 20:  The Union Sports Minister Ajay Makan honoured Inspector Kuldeep Handoo during the award ceremony for the Asian Games and Common Wealth Games medalists coaches held at New Delhi on November 14.
 Handoo of J&K was the Wu-Shu national coach for the 16th Asian Games at Guangzhou. India got two medals (silver and bronze) in the event.
 During the award ceremony secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Director General Sports Authority of India were present. The Bhupender Singh Bajwa the President of Wushu Association of India congratulated Kuldeep Handoo for this Mile stone.
 Pertinently Handoo also accompanied India contingent as coach for the 11th
 World Wushu championship held at Turkey from October 7-15 and India team bagged four medals (two silver and two bronze) medals.
 Handoo who is 11 times national champion and six times International medallist is associated as national coach with Wushu Association of India.
 Since 2008 he has won more than 50 medals at International level as Coach.
 Two times since 2010 he was recommended for the Dronacharya award by the Wushu Association of India for his excellent achievements.
 The Office Bearers of the Wushu Association of J&K, IPS, IG Police S Owais, IG Police H K Lohia IPS, has congratulated Kuldeep Handoo for the Award and wished him luck for the 2012 “Dronacharya Award”.
